Our PTAC/VTAC System Cleaning Process
Absolute Clean & Restore’s PTAC/VTAC deep-clean process involves multiple steps to ensure a satisfying result:
- INSPECTION. We start with a thorough inspection in the presence of the client. The units are tested and checked for any pre-existing damage. The client is informed of any issues before the cleaning process is started.
- DISCONNECTION AND REMOVAL. The units are then disconnected from the power source and removed from its sleeve or cabinet, if possible. They are then transferred onto a cleaning tray to begin the cleaning process. Electrical components are covered to prevent any water damage.
- DEEP CLEANING and SANITIZATION. Using our environmentally-friendly proprietary cleaning agent, the units are washed clean. The sleeve, coils, drain, and drain pan are thoroughly cleaned by scrubbing. The air filter is also cleaned or replaced if needed. The cleaning process ends by drying the units using compressed air and clean microfiber rags.
- REINSTALLATION, TESTING, AND FINAL INSPECTION. The PTAC or VTAC units are reinstalled in their original locations and are tested again for proper functionality. If the client is present, the final inspection is conducted in their presence for their satisfaction and approval.
